Maya Yoshida has been called into the Japan squad for the games against Oman and Saudi Arabia.

The Southampton defender will head out to Asia next week for the first of two games, as his side host Oman in a Kirin Challenge Cup game on Friday 11th November.

That match will serve as a warm-up for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against AFC Confederation qualifying Group B leaders Saudi Arabia in Saitama on the following Tuesday evening.

Yoshida has 64 caps for Samurai Blue at senior level to-date, scoring nine goals in that time too.
