Claude Puel believes Southampton will move to within touching distance of qualification for the UEFA Europa League knockout stages if they can beat Inter tonight.
Saints host the Italian giants at St Mary's in a hugely-anticipated match, and one that could well be pivotal in terms of the outcome of Group K.
Puel's side have four points from their opening three matches, putting them two behind leaders Sparta Praha, level with Hapoel Be'er Sheva and one ahead of Inter, and the Southampton boss believes that another two victories will see them through.
"In the third game [away to Inter] we lost three points, so it's important to get a good result," he said.
"We have three more games – two at home and one away – and we are in need of six points, I think, for qualification. It will be better, of course, to win our games at home, so this game is very, very important."
