Jay Rodriguez is targeting a run of games to help him get back to goalscoring form, after his appearance at San Siro against Internazionale.
The 27-year-old played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 defeat, with his family watching on from the stands.
But despite his pride at playing into one of the great sporting arenas, his attentions quickly turned to putting things right against Manchester City.
He said: “We had some great chances we should have scored and they’ve had a couple of shots, and we’ve conceded one but our main focus is on Sunday.
“We came here to win the game and we had the chance to do so but we can’t dwell on that because we go to Manchester City and it’s a game we’re looking forward to.
Rodriguez who was making his first start since the Premier League visit to Arsenal, added: “I felt great and I just want more and more of it.
“I’m sure the goals will come I just need to keep persisting to be on the field.
“It’s one of them things where it happens at times and I’m working extra hard to keep fit.
“I’m never happy after a game where I’ve not scored but I just need to concentrate on each game as it comes.
“I need regular games and hopefully I can help the team to accomplish what we what we want to achieve.”
