Sam Gallagher scored a first-half brace to help Blackburn Rovers to a home victory in the Championship.
The 21-year-old, who now has five goals for his loan club, opened the scoring in the 2-1 success against Nottingham Forest at Ewood Park.
Gallagher put Rovers ahead on 11 minutes when, after racing clear, he showed composure to slide the ball under Forest keeper Vladimir Stojkovic.
And just before the interval, he struck again to double his tally when Corry Evans squared the ball for a finish from close range.
Damien Perquis scored deep into stoppage time, but the visitors were reduced to ten men as they searched for an equaliser when Hildeberto Pereira picked up a second yellow for a foul on Craig Conway.
Elsewhere, Jason McCarthy also played the full 90 minutes as Walsall earned a 1-1 draw at Gillingham.
Cody McDonald gave the hosts the lead on 25 minutes with a header from Scott Wagstaff’s cross, but Franck Moussa converted from close range after Erhun Oztumer’s strike was spilt.
