Redmond: We'll need to give it everything

Nathan Redmond believes Burnley’s display in their last outing, against Arsenal, shows they will provide a stern test at St Mary’s today.

The Clarets turned in a strong performance against the Gunners before the international break, only to concede an injury time goal that saw them slip to a 1-0 defeat.

But Redmond says he has seen enough from Sean Dyche’s side, who have already beaten Liverpool this term, to be wary of them.

"You can't take any team lightly In the Premier League,” he said. “Anything can happen.

“I watched their last game, against Arsenal, and Arsenal didn't score until injury time. It's going to take everything from us, but we'll go out there the same way.”

Indeed, Redmond says Saints will be heading in with high spirits, as they look to extend their six-match unbeaten run.

"We've taken a lot of confidence,” he said. “I think we knew with a new manager coming in at the start of the season it was going to take a little bit of time just to get used to his style of play, but we're gradually building on it and we're getting better week by week.”
