Pierre-Emile Højbjerg has been named in the Denmark squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Poland and Montenegro next month.
The Southampton midfielder helped the Danes to victory in their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Armenia last month. The midfielder played 80 minutes of the game in Copenhagen, before being replaced with his nation protecting a one-goal lead inside the final ten minutes.
Coach Åge Hareide has stuck largely with the same squad form that game for the forthcoming matches in the next international schedule.
Højbjerg’s team travel to Poland on Saturday 8th October, before hosting Montenegro in Copenhagen three days later.
Denmark currently top their 2018 World Cup qualifying group following that win over Armenia, and will look to extend that lead in the next two games.
