Claude Puel expects West Ham United to produce a positive reaction following their difficult run in the Premier League.
The London side have lost their last three games in the top-flight, with their previous home match seeing them let a two-goal lead slip, to lose 4-2 against Watford.
Puel, however, expects Slaven Bilić's men to be in determined mood when Saints visit on Sunday.
"They can play good football," he said.
"They lost points in their last game, but we will play against a good team with a good reaction and it's important for us to keep good concentration, the good spirit and the humility every time at the start of the game to do the work, and do good work."
Saints are in rather better form, having won their last three, and spirits are high following Wednesday's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup.
Youngster Jake Hesketh took the headlines after netting his first senior goal for the club, but Puel was playing his cards close to his chest when asked if the 20-year-old would be part of his squad for West Ham.
"We will see, I don't know the composition of the squad for the game at West Ham yet," he said.
"But now I think I have many solutions for the team. It's a good thing for the future and we will see if he is present or not, but the most important thing is that all the players are ready for a good, difficult game.
"We have possibilities to have good results if we keep the same spirit and attitude."
