The latest issue of SAINTS matchday magazine for the visit of Crystal Palace features an in-depth interview with Alex McCarthy, and is now available to pre-order online.

You can find copies of all this season’s editions of SAINTS on our partner site: saintsmagazines.co.uk.

Wednesday’s special edition of the magazine is formed of 68 pages and will be on sale for £3 online and at St Mary’s.

Goalkeeper McCarthy made the move to Southampton from Palace in the summer, and opens up about his first few weeks at St Mary’s, as well as what he hopes to achieve with the club this season and beyond.

Also inside the magazine, is an interview with James Ward-Prowse, who made his debut for Southampton in this competition against Palace almost five years ago.

Ward-Prowse recalls his memories of playing as a 16 year-old at Selhurst Park, and reveals the lessons that have stuck with him since that night.

We also relive a fiery meeting between the two teams in this competition from 1977 which went to a replay at The Dell.
