Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse, Matt Targett and Jack Stephens have been named in the England Under-21s squad for the upcoming UEFA EURO 2017 qualifier against Switzerland.
The trio have retained their places in Gareth Southgate’s latest squad, and will be looking to help the Young Lions move another step closer to next year’s finals in Poland.
England currently top Group 9, having taken ten points from their opening four games, and they will hope to hammer home that advantage when they travel to Thun, on Saturday 26th March (7pm GMT).
England beat Switzerland 3-1 in their most recent qualifier, coming from behind at Brighton’s America Express Community Stadium with three late goals, the first of which was scored from the penalty spot by captain Ward-Prowse.
Left-back Targett also played the full game, although centre-half Stephens, who is currently on loan at Coventry City, was unavailable due to a one-match suspension.
