Tadić: Confidence is flowing ahead of West Brom

Dušan Tadić says this week’s win against Watford has provided Saints with a big injection of confidence ahead of Saturday’s game against West Brom.

After successive defeats in the Barclays Premier League, Ronald Koeman’s side returned to winning ways with Wednesday’s 2-0 victory over the Hornets, at St Mary’s.

They will look to build on that now when they host Albion this weekend, with three points potentially lifting them back into the top half of the table.

"This was a really important this win, and now we have much more confidence,” Tadić, who came off the bench to score the second goal, told youtube.com/southamptonfc.

"Everyone was feeling good and this is good confidence for us. We really need that, and also the supporters, I think they support us nicely and we give them that win and they deserve that also, because a couple of results at home we didn't give them that. Then we need to prepare for Saturday and do it again.

“We need points and we just need to show the same energy, same spirit, same team performance, and then I think we will not have a problem.”

Tadić added: "I think everyone felt that the result was going to come, because I think we deserved that before – a couple of games before when we play much better than our opponents, but this is football, you never know what's going to happen and what you can expect.”
