Caulker ends loan spell with Saints

Southampton Football Club can confirm Steven Caulker has ended his loan spell and returned to Championship side QPR.

The defender linked up with Ronald Koeman’s men on loan at the end of July, making his first appearance a week later in Saints’ 2-0 away win over Vitesse in the Europa League.

He made his first Barclays Premier League appearance in the 0-0 draw with Watford, while featuring in both games against FC Midtjylland in Europe.

Caulker’s final appearance for Saints came in early December against Liverpool at St Mary’s.
