Northern Ireland skipper Davis set for Faroes & Greece

Steven Davis has been included in the Northern Ireland squad for next month’s UEFA EURO 2016 qualifiers against the Faroe Islands and Greece.

Northern Ireland got their qualifying campaign off to a dream start earlier this month, pulling off a surprise 2-1 victory over Hungary – their first away win in four years.

Davis and his teammates will look to build on that success in their second round of fixtures, which kick off in just over a week’s time.

First up for the Green & White Army is a home game against the Faroes on Saturday 11th October, with matters getting under way at Windsor Park at 7.45pm BST.

Three days later, on Tuesday 14th October, Michael O’Neill’s men travel to face Greece at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus, again with a 7.45pm BST kick-off time.
