On Sunday 21st September, 29 brave Saints fans and Southampton FC staff members took a leap of faith by taking part in a charity skydive at the Old Sarum Airfield, Salisbury.
Organised by the Saints Foundation and supported by Saints star Kelvin Davis, all funds raised by the intrepid jumpers went to support the work of the Southampton-based Liver and Pancreatic R&D Cancer Charity.
Kelvin told us: “It’s great to see the Saints Foundation and so many Saints fans supporting such a worthwhile charity, whilst also fulfilling what, for many, was a lifelong ambition. I’d like to congratulate all who took part.”

The Liver and Pancreatic R&D Charity aims to reduce the human and financial costs of these cancers by increasing early detection rates, developing laparoscopic procedures and funding mini invasive surgery.
Liver and pancreatic cancers remain two of the worst cancers in terms of prognosis and survival rates but there is still a scarcity of funds dedicated to research to improve early detection, surgical treatment and adjuvant chemotherapy to improve results and survival. Saints Foundation will be organising another charity skydive in 2015. For further information about how to get involved please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0845 6889370.
