ANNOUNCEMENT: Stephens rejoins Swindon

By SFC Media Mon 01 Sep Club

Saints defender Jack Stephens has joined Swindon Town on a loan deal until the end of January.

The 20-year-old centre back enjoyed a successful temporary spell at the County Ground at the tail end of last season, and returned to Southampton during the summer in a position to challenge for a first team role having performed well at the County Ground.

Jack travelled away with the squad during pre-season where he impressed Ronald Koeman’s coaching staff, and now he returns to the Robins for the next stage of his development at a club that plays a similar type of football to that of Saints.

Stephens will be in good company for the duration of his loan spell, with fellow Saints defender Jordan Turnbull also currently serving a temporary role with the League 1 side.
