Billy Sharp has moved to Sky Bet Championship side Doncaster Rovers on loan, Saints can confirm.
The striker rejoins his former side on a temporary basis until the end of the season following a loan spell with Reading during the first half of the campaign.
Sharp has not played for Southampton since the start of the 2012/13 season, with the forward going on to join Nottingham Forest on loan for the rest of that campaign at the end of August.
The 27-year-old now heads back to the Keepmoat Stadium, where he spent a successful two-and-a-half years before moving to St Mary’s in January 2012.
Sharp will hope to fire Rovers away from the Championship relegation zone – they currently sit third-bottom of the table.
