Targett Earns Scotland Call

By SFC Media Wed 03 Apr Club

Saints Academy star Matt Targett has earned an international call up into the Scotland Under-19s squad.

17 year-old Targett has excelled in his first year as a scholar at the club, making the step up into Saints’ Under-21s side where he has been a regular starter at left back, with 13 appearances for Martin Hunter’s team so far this term.

He has also played five times for Jason Dodd’s Under-18s this season as part of his continued development, which has now enabled him to represent Scotland whom he qualifies for due to his grandfather’s roots.

Matt will join up with the Scottish U19s for an international challenge match with Serbia on Tuesday 9th April in Stara Pazova.
