Loan Moves For Barnard & De Ridder

Two more Southampton players departed the Club for loan spells elsewhere on transfer deadline day.

With Ben Reeves and Jonathan Forte having moved temporarily earlier in the day, Lee Barnard and Steve De Ridder also completed late switches yesterday evening.

Striker Barnard has signed for npower League 1 side Oldham Athletic until the end of the season, having had a previous loan spell in that division with AFC Bournemouth before the turn of the year.

The 28-year-old has not appeared for Saints' First Team this season, though he has played for us in the Barclays U21 Premier League in recent weeks.

Winger De Ridder, meanwhile, joins Bolton Wanderers on loan for the next month.

The Belgian has made seven appearances for Saints this season, and will now look to help Wanderers climb the Championship table.
