Forward Forte Blades-Bound

Jonathan Forte has returned to his first club Sheffield United on loan until the end of the season.

The frontman heads back to his home city for his second temporary move of the current campaign, having spent time with Crawley Town before Christmas.

The 26-year-old began his playing career with the Blades, making 39 appearances across four seasons before departing in 2007.

He has not appeared for Southampton this season, though he has played twice for our Under-21 side in the current campaign.

Forte now makes a deadline-day move back to Bramall Lane to help Danny Wilson's men in their push for promotion to the npower Championship.
