Southampton FC Women are about to start recruiting for the 2024/25 season, looking for world class developing players to join their Under-21s squad.

The U21s team plays at the highest level of academy football and sit within our FA Category One licensed Pro-Game Academy.

Several of the current Women's first team have already progressed through the club's ranks, and the pathway continues to thrive with involvement for a handful of youngsters in the 2023/24 campaign.

Now, Saints are looking to recruit further young talent, with trials by invitation taking place on 16th February at the club's Staplewood Campus - as well as further opportunities on the 9th and 11th April.

The U21s side play in the FA PGA U21 mid-week league – a national league for all licensed academies that play on a Wednesday – and cup competitions over the season.

Training takes place at Staplewood Campus throughout the week, including all day on a Friday and Saturday, with additional mid-week evenings.

At Southampton Football Club, we are committed to supporting our young players in their education as well, with a requirement for all players to be in education until 18-years-old with a clear educational plan after that.

Players in both further and higher education are encouraged and supported; we have excellent relationships with local education providers - schools, colleges, and universities - to support whatever educational journey our young players undertake alongside football.
