Another cup test against Women’s Super League opposition is on the horizon as Manchester United come to town on Sunday.

It’s a sell-out fixture for Saints, who can make history by reaching the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time ever if they can beat last season’s cup runners-up.

Marieanne Spacey-Cale's side started their cup journey with a South Coast derby against Portsmouth, where they ran out 2-1 winners at Westleigh Park.

A long trip to league rivals Sunderland followed after the winter break, where Saints returned with a bang in the fourth round; a second-half brace from Katie Wilkinson proved to be the difference with two well-taken finishes securing her side's progression.

Manchester United entered the competition in the fourth round so only required one win to reach this stage, as they knocked out third-tier Newcastle with a convincing 5-0 victory.

Lionesses Ella Toone, Nikita Parris, and Rachel Williams were on target, with Parris bagging herself a brace, before young French international Melvine Malard rounded off the scoring in stoppage time.
