Southampton FC Women return to action in the Barclays Women’s Championship as they take on promotion hopefuls Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

THE MATCH
Bristol City vs Saints
Barclays Women’s Championship
Ashton Gate Stadium
Sunday 25th September, 3pm BST
For ticket details, see below

Saints come into the fixture off the back of a win against then top-of-the-league Crystal Palace, as Lexi Lloyd-Smith shone on her first start, scoring a brace to make sure that Coral Haines’ goal was little more than a consolation.

The Robins come into the fixture having secured three wins from three in their opening fixtures, against Coventry United, Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland and currently sit top of the table.

With over 3000 tickets sold for the fixture, Saints will be hoping to once again spoil the party against another high-flying side.

LAST MEETING

Saints welcomed Bristol City to St Mary’s last season in the fourth round of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup.

Nothing could separate the sides in the 90 minutes, but an Ella Morris goal early in extra-time saw Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s Saints move forward in the competition.
