Women's matchday Twitter account launched
Southampton Football Club has introduced a new way to follow its high-flying Women’s team, with the launch of a dedicated matchday Twitter account.
Supporters will now be able to keep up-to-date with the action every time Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s first-team play, with live updates from each game on
, beginning with Sunday’s home tie against Bristol City in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup.
It means fans will be able to follow the side in even greater detail for the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign and beyond, as they continue their push for promotion to the FA Women’s Championship, while also fighting on three separate cup fronts this season.
The new matchday account will offer a dedicated channel for uninterrupted updates from each fixture, giving supporters the first look at the Saints teamsheet for every home and away game, while also providing live updates of all the key match action, including goals, substitutions, photos and more.
