Women’s Fans’ Goal and Player of the Season announced
Laura Rafferty and Kayla Rendell have won the Fans’ Goal of the Season and Player of the Season respectively after a fruitful season.
Rafferty’s looping strike against Lewes at the Dripping Pan which secured Saints their first ever point in the Barclays Women’s Championship was chosen by fans, despite some fierce competition.
Rendell was chosen by fans as their Player of the Season, a stalwart in Marieanne Spacey Cale’s side, Rendell starting all but one Championship game.
Keeping nine clean sheets in the process, she pulled out some impressive performances in crunch games and was also nominated for the Barclays Women’s Championship Save of the Season award.
