Remi Allen has confirmed that two of Southampton FC Women’s players will face a spell on the sidelines after picking up injuries in training.

Following her side's Women's League Cup opener against London City Lionesses in the week, Allen explained the absence of both Izzy Milne and Isabel Watts from the squad.

Full-back Milne has suffered a knee injury, which will see her out of action for several weeks, whilst Watts is nursing a foot injury that will keep her out of contention on a similar timeline.

"It's unfortunate news for both Izzy and Isabel, who missed out on being involved in the [Women's League Cup] game on Thursday after picking up injuries in training." Saints' Head Coach confirmed.

"They'll both be out for a little while, but they have our full support in their rehab and we're looking forward to getting them back in training and around the squad when they're ready."

Both players are undergoing a rehabilitation programme with the support of the club's medical team, as everyone at the Southampton sends their best wishes to Izzy and Isabel in their recovery.
