Southampton FC Women can announce that Kayla Rendell and Lucia Kendall have both penned new deals that will see them remain at the club until 2025.

Academy graduates Rendell and Kendall have become first team stalwarts, helping the team achieve promotion to the Barclays Women’s Championship and enjoying a fruitful debut season in the second-tier.

Rendell had a strong first season in the Barclays Women’s Championship, winning Player of the Month, the Saints Fans’ Player of the Season and keeping nine league clean sheets.

On her new contract, the goalkeeper commented:

“I’m really excited to continue my journey at Southampton. The club means a lot to me having spent a long time here.

“We’ve started something special and I’m excited to see what the future holds for this team."

Kendall, who despite injury was a key player in Saints’ midfield and attack this season, commented on her extension, saying:

“I’m so happy to have signed a new deal and I’m so grateful to be part of such an ambitious club.

“I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.

“There’s no place like home!”
