Women announce opening pre-season friendlies
Southampton FC Women have confirmed their first two friendlies in their pre-season schedule.
Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side will first travel to FA Women’s National League Northern Premier side Nottingham Forest Women on Sunday 23rd July in a 2pm kick-off at Long Eaton United FC.
The opening fixture will be open to fans, with ticketing arrangements to be confirmed by Forest shortly.
Saints will then travel to a familiar opponent, Oxford United Women, on Wednesday 26th July, in a behind-closed-doors fixture at the U's training ground, kicking off at 7:15pm.
Both games will have coverage on the Southampton FC Women's dedicated Twitter and Instagram accounts.
With the Barclays Women’s Championship kicking off late in August, Southampton FC Women will ramp up their preparations further ahead of the new season, with a number of friendlies to be announced shortly.
