Not long now, Saints fans! This Sunday more than 35,000 Saints fans will descend on Wembley for the Sky Bet Championship play-off final, as Southampton take on Leeds United for a place in next season’s Premier League.

To help you plan your day and make the most of this momentous occasion, here’s some key information that might help you decide where you want to be and when…

  • All match tickets have now SOLD OUT, with the full 35,667 allocation snapped up by Saints fans. Never in doubt – thank you for your incredible support!

  • All official coach travel has also sold out. Coaches will depart St Mary’s Stadium at 9.30am BST

  • The stadium will open its doors from 8am BST, with breakfast rolls and drinks to be served in the Itchen South concourse

  • Face painters will be on site from 8am BST and then on selected coaches, painting fans all the way to Wembley. Please arrive early if this is of interest – we can’t afford to delay the coaches’ departure time!

  • The Stadium Store will also open from 8am BST, giving fans one last chance to buy Saints merchandise and show off your colours with pride at Wembley

On arrival at Wembley:

  • Saints have been allocated the West Fan Zone at Wembley Stadium – this is located outside Wembley Arena. For those approaching the stadium from Wembley Park Underground Station (the most convenient tube stop), the West Fan Zone can be found on the right-hand side at the end of Olympic Way/Wembley Way (see the red triangle on the map below)

  • The Fan Zone will be open from 11am-2.30pm BST, with last drink orders at 2pm BST. After that, supporters will be encouraged to head into the stadium. Match tickets will need to be shown for entry into the Fan Zone, which has a limited capacity of around 2,300

  • The Fan Zone will include a big screen and stage with a presenter, DJ and live music from Moonrunners, Calum Lintott, David Littleton and of course Saints Brass. Interviews with special guests will also take place on stage alongside competitions, giveaways, mascots and face painting

  • There will be an abundance of food and drink options outside the stadium, and a Jameson bus within the Fan Zone. Supporters are reminded not to bring their own alcohol to the stadium or surrounding areas as this will be taken away immediately and fines will be issued

  • Fans can bring empty plastic water bottles (500ml max) as there will be refill stations. Any bags must be no bigger than an A4 piece of paper

Further pre-game planning will be aided by our usual Matchday Information article, which will follow later in the week.
