Walker-Peters on "incredible" unbeaten run
Match winner Kyle Walker-Peters described a "really satisfying" three points at St Mary's, as Southampton saw off Bristol City with a 1-0 win.
After a tense first half the breakthrough came early into the second half.
Walker-Peters picked up the ball on the edge of the box before firing the eventual winner into the top corner, extending Saints' unbeaten run to ten games.
"I managed to get a really good first touch and get the ball on my sweet spot for my left foot," said the full back. "Just glad it came off!
"I’ve played left back countless amounts of times for the football club, so I think most people know I can use both feet. I just keep practising and hopefully score a few more with my left.
"The first half we weren’t at our best. Credit to Bristol City they countered us really well. At half time we came in and the manger gave us a few solutions and we put them on the pitch in the second half and I think our performance showed.
