Walker-Peters named in Championship Team of the Season
Southampton defender Kyle Walker-Peters has been named in the Sky Bet Championship Team of the Season at the EFL Awards.
The flying full-back, who has excelled on both flanks, took the right-back slot in the league’s prestigious all-star XI for 2023/24.
Walker-Peters, who celebrated his 27th birthday on Saturday, has contributed three goals and two assists, and helped Saints keep 11 clean sheets in the league to date.
The England international was the only Saint to be included in the line-up, which includes three players from Leeds and two from Leicester.
There was no place for Adam Armstrong, whose 32 goal contributions (20 goals, 12 assists) is the highest tally in England’s top four divisions.
