Southampton FC Women to take on Arsenal in pre-season friendly at St Mary’s
Southampton can confirm that its Women’s First Team will conclude preparations for the Barclays Women’s Championship season with a home friendly against one of the Women's Super League's top sides, Arsenal Women.
Saints will host the Gunners at St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday 31st August (1.30PM BST).
The final game of pre-season will give Remi Allen’s side the perfect opportunity to test themselves again against elite opposition, having only narrowly lost to the Gunners last season in the Conti Cup group stages. St Mary’s saw a record-breaking crowd for a Women’s match that night and the club hopes to draw in the crowds once again.
Marieanne Spacey-Cale, Director of Women’s Football said: “We’re delighted to be hosting Arsenal once again. Last season we saw a brilliant atmosphere at St Mary’s, and we really hope the fans will come out in their thousands to support the side once again. It’ll be a great opportunity for fans to see Remi Allen and her squad in action on home soil ahead of the new season starting.”

Women's Season Ticket holders have a priority window to purchase their tickets first. These tickets will go on sale at 9.30am on Tuesday 13th August for all 24/25 Women’s Season Ticket holders, and will cost just £3 for Adults and £1 for Under-18s. This price will rise to £5 for Adults from Wednesday 14th August at 9.30am.
Tickets will then go on sale to Men’s Season Ticket holders and Saints Members at 9.30am on Wednesday 14th August. Tickets will cost £5 for Adults and £1 for Under-18s.
Tickets will go on general sale from Friday 16th August. Adult tickets will cost £5 and £1 for Under-18s.
Fans will also be able to enjoy matchday hospitality in the Saints Bar for just £30 inclusive of VAT. You'll have a premium padded seat in blocks 5 or 6 in the Itchen Stand, and it includes one inclusive drink and a classic pub meal.
