Saints B team crowned PL2 Division 2 Champions
Southampton FC's B team have won Premier League 2 Division 2, and have been promoted as champions.
Having played all their games, Saints ended their campaign with a crucial 5-2 victory over Norwich City but were left to rely on results elsewhere with title rivals Leeds still to play their final match.
The squad gathered at Staplewood to watch the league-deciding fixture as Leeds fell to a 2-1 defeat against West Bromwich Albion, which confirmed that Saints had clinched the top spot and earned promotion as champions.
Saints return to the top division of Premier League 2 after two years away, having last played in division one in the 2019/20 season.
