Saints start pre-season against Spitfires before trip to Spain
Southampton's preparation for the 2024/25 Premier League season will begin against non-league neighbours Eastleigh before a week-long trip to Spain.
Russell Martin's side will make the short journey to the Silverlake Stadium on Friday 19th July (7pm BST) for their first run-out of pre-season against the local National League side.
The Spitfires, who are managed by former Saint Kelvin Davis, will be preparing for their 11th season in the top division of non-league football.
Saints fans have been given an allocation of 1700 tickets, with full details to be announced shortly on how they can be purchased.
Following that opening friendly, the squad will head to Spain from Sunday 21st to Sunday 28th July for a week-long training camp.
Two behind-closed-doors fixtures have been scheduled during the trip, against French sides Girondins de Bordeaux and Montpellier.
Saints will face Ligue 2 side Bordeaux on Wednesday 24th July (10am BST), and Ligue 1 outfit Montpellier on Saturday 27th July (10am BST).
Further information on additional pre-season fixtures this summer will be released in due course.
