Saints set for Sheffield United reunion
Southampton will travel to Sheffield United in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
A tie against Championship opponents is Saints’ reward for the emphatic 8-0 success at Newport in round two.
Saints won all four of their meetings with United during the Blades’ two-year stay in the Premier League, which came to an end last season.
The tie at Bramall Lane will take place in the week commencing September 20th, with a confirmed date and kick-off time to be announced in due course.
