We are delighted to announce the return of our dedicated matchday for the women’s team this season, as Saints take on Birmingham City.

On Sunday 20th October, Saints Foundation will take over St Mary’s for our Barclays Women’s Championship fixture.

Last season we were treated to a five-star performance for our dedicated matchday as Saints beat Reading 5-0 back in March, and off the pitch Saints Foundation engaged with activities promoting the work we do in Southampton.

This year, we will be using the game to spotlight our Health, Employability and Gender Equality projects. Our health projects support the community with physical and mental health to encourage positive changes to behaviour.

Helping people of all ages to lead healthier, happier lives through SO14 based exercise classes, older adults social activities, mental health support for men and young people, getting people back on their feet, and disability football sessions.

Our development projects include Gender Equality and Employability projects. Saints Foundation’s projects in this area challenge discriminatory behaviour towards women and girls in our city, whilst shaping leadership potential in them, creating opportunities to level the playing field.

Our employability projects support 16 to 25 year olds not in education or training to take their first steps into the world of work and includes working directly in the stadium to enhance the matchday experience for fans from hospitality to stewards.

You can buy tickets to join us on October 20th here.

Our dedicated women’s matchday for the 2024/25 season will follow Saints Legends XI vs Russell Martin XI, where we will be spotlighting our Education and Pathways projects.
