Saints Foundation Matchday raises £23k
Players and fans unite to raise over £23,000 for Saints Foundation.
Saints secured back-to-back victories with an impressive win against Sunderland last Saturday. The winning spirit continued off the pitch too, with players and fans uniting to support Saints Foundation.
We’re delighted to announce that this year’s Saints Foundation Matchday has raised an incredible £23,000 to support our work in Southampton.
From bucket collecting and prize draws, to hospitality raffles and a 50p donation from every matchday programme sold, more than £13,000 was raised by our fantastic fans.
Main Club Partner Sportsbet.io once again generously gifted their front of shirt sponsorship, allowing Saints Foundation to take pride of place on the player’s chests. Our men’s first team generously supported the matchday too, providing an incredible donation of £10,000 towards the total.
This total doesn’t yet include any money raised by auctioning Saturday’s match worn shirts - look out for updates on our social media channels to find out when these go live.
The amazing £23,000 raised at this year’s Foundation Matchday will help across a wide range of Saints Foundation projects, meaning we can continue to provide life-changing opportunities to help our city and its communities thrive.
This weekend, the Foundation Matchday spirit continues as Saints take on Reading in our first ever Women’s Saints Foundation Matchday. Look out for our Saints Foundation participants waving flags, forming the guard of honour and taking part in the half-time relay.
On the day, there will also be an opportunity to win a fantastic prize – a Framed Southampton FC Women’s shirt, signed by the women’s team – to enter, keep an eye out for Saints Foundation staff who will be selling raffle tickets around the Kingsland.
Thank you to everyone who gave generously and showed their support to our Foundation Matchday.
