Our group of 20 fundraising cyclists conquered the 250 ride from Anfield to St Mary's in just 3 days.

More than £40,000 has been raised by the incredible fundraising efforts of our riders, as well as the generous support of our Main Event Partner Wessex Regional Care.

This year's Saints Big Bike Challenge took the riders on a 250 mile journey from Anfield down through 7 counties, via stopovers in Telford (Day 1) and Cirencester (Day 2), before reaching the finish line at St Mary's on Sunday (28 May) in time for Saints' final day kick-off against Liverpool FC.

The 20 riders included our ambassador Sam McQueen, who took on his first ever endurance fundraising challenge for us after an injury in 2018 forced his retirement from professional football. He became an ambassador for Saints Foundation in 2022 and recently visited Community Champions, a programme that works full-time in Southampton's secondary schools, to find out more about what he's been supporting.

Sam and his 19 fellow riders walked a lap of honour at St Mary's just before kick-off against Liverpool.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to all the riders who took on this year's Saints Big Bike Challenge and raised such a massive total – funds that are essential for sustaining and developing our support for the people of Southampton.

A big thank you also to our Main Event Partner Wessex Regional Care, and to both Peter Cooper Motor Group and Pitter Self Drive for providing support vehicles for the ride.
