Saints’ 2024/25 Barclays Women’s Championship fixtures confirmed
Southampton FC Women will start and finish their 2024/25 Barclays Women’s Championship campaign at home in their third season in the second tier.
Saints will kick-off with an enticing clash against recently relegated Bristol City on the opening weekend of Sunday 8th September.
The first away game follows with one of three mammoth journeys to the North East, as new Head Coach Remi Allen will take her side up to Sunderland on the 15th September.
After South Coast rivals Portsmouth were promoted from the third tier, the first hotly-anticipated derby of the season falls on 13th October with the away fixture.
Another new arrival to the league is Newcastle, who Saints will visit on 17th November before closing out the first half of the campaign with an away trip to London City Lionesses on 15th December.
The New Year rolls around with a home clash against Sunderland to restart the league season on 19th January.
February presents two key tests as Saints will host Newcastle and travel to Bristol City with back-to-back games against two sides tipped as early promotion hopefuls.
The second derby of the season arrives in March, as Portsmouth visit on the 23rd for the first St Mary's Stadium South Coast derby since Saints lifted the Women's National League title against their local rivals in 2022.
The final away game is a trip to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United at the end of April, before the season comes to a close on 4th May with a home game against Charlton Athletic.
