Saints’ 2023/24 Barclays Women’s Championship fixtures confirmed
Southampton FC Women will kick off their 2023/24 Barclays Women’s Championship campaign with a trip down the south coast to Lewes FC.
The Dripping Pan will be the first ground ticked off in the Barclays Women’s Championship season, as Saints take on Lewes in the opening game on Sunday 27th August.
Another tantalising tie sees Saints travel to recently relegated Reading FC on Sunday 17th October. The sides met last season in the FA Continental Tyres Cup with Reading coming away 3-0 winners - Saints will be eager to improve on that performance.
Newly promoted Watford welcome Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side to Wealdstone FC on Sunday 8th November, in the sides’ first ever competitive meeting.
A long trip to Durham is the final fixture of 2023, as Saints will look to see out the year on a positive note at Maiden Castle.
Similarly looking to start the New Year brightly, the opening league game of 2024 at St Mary’s sees the reverse Watford fixture, as the Hornets travel south.
March sees the longest trip of the season to the Eppleton Colliery Welfare Ground as Saints take on Sunderland on Sunday 3rd, while the final game of the season pits Saints against Charlton Athletic away from home as the league wraps up on Sunday 28th April.
