Pike nominated for Goal of the Month
Southampton FC Women's Molly Pike has been nominated for the Barclays Women's Championship Goal of the Month award for April.
Saints wrapped up their final home game of the season with a win at St Mary's Stadium, as the forward opened the scoring against London City Lionesses.
The goal neatly finished a team move that began with a cross-field pass from Lucia Kendall to Ella Morris, who sent in a pinpoint delivery for Pike to convert on the way to a 3-1 victory.
Pike's strike is shortlisted for the monthly award, with the winner to be announced on Tuesday 7 May.
