An exciting expansion of our support for mental health, Advantage will pair 14 to 21 year olds with a Saints Foundation mentor to work on boosting their wellbeing.

Advantage 1-to-1 mentoring sessions are designed to help young people explore their passions, figure out their personal goals and equip them with the tools they need to manage their mental health.

Working closely with Children and Families First Services, our expert mentoring team will build relationships with their participants under the supervision of a clinical psychologist, ensuring both the young person and their mentor get the most out of every interaction.

Advantage is a tried and tested mentoring model – fellow football club community organisations including West Ham United Foundation, Arsenal in the Community and LFC Foundation already deliver the programme for their local communities.

Funding for Saints Foundation’s Advantage project has come from Solent NHS Trust, for an initial period of 12 months. The project kicked off in the spring, with mentoring sessions already starting to show some really positive outcomes for the young people involved.
