More trees planted for Saints debutants
Hundreds more trees have been planted at schools in Southampton as part of our Home Grown initiative, marking debuts made by Saints Academy graduates for our First Teams.
We've already planted thousands of trees at schools around the city, marking the incredible achievement of players graduating from our Academy and playing senior football.
Last week, we visited St Mary's School and Redbridge School with hundreds of saplings to mark the debuts of Kamari Doyle, Sam Amo-Ameyaw and Samantha Corrie.
Students helped us with the planting, learning about environmental sustainability and the importance of protecting the planet.
In January 2021, as part of The Halo Effect, we launched the Home Grown Initiative, combining our commitment to environmental sustainability with our strategy of developing talent on the pitch - and we've already planted over 3,000 trees to offset carbon emissions.
See below for photos from the planting session at Redbridge School.
