Martin gives positive update on Downes and Adams return
Russell Martin offered a positive update on the availability of Flynn Downes and Ché Adams ahead of tomorrow's SkyBet Championship clash with West Bromwich Albion.
Saints were without the pair on Tuesday evening, as defeat against Bristol City ended a club-record 25-game unbeaten streak.
However, Martin shared a positive take on the absent pair's progress, suggesting that their returns are close regardless of whether they travel to The Hawthorns tomorrow.
"Both Flynn and Ché will be very close, whether they'll be involved tomorrow we'll wait and see but they've both recovered nicely.
"We hope there'll be involved, but if not they won't be far away at all."
Despite suffering a first loss since September just two days ago, Martin added further insight into the response shown from rest of the squad back at Staplewood.
"Wednesday was about recovery, but the rest of the lads were back on the pitch today to get them ready for tomorrow.
"It doesn't feel like there's any hangover, they were smiling and it doesn't feel like they're tired. We're ready to move on and we have to."
