In May 2023, we formalised Saints Voice into the Saints Fan Advisory Board (FAB), with the aim of building a closer relationship between the club and our fanbase. We want to make sure your voice is heard and through the FAB we’re looking for feedback on your experiences as a Saints fan, to ensure we’re properly informed when it comes to club decisions that impact you.

Fan Advisory Boards were nationally recommended by the Fan Engagement Standards and we’re excited to be driving forwards with what has already proved to be such a vital link to you, our fanbase.

The Saints Fan Advisory Board is co-chaired by Mike Sadler (supporter member) and Charlie Boss (Saints Chief Commercial Officer), supported by further members from the club and representatives from the fanbase. The fans on the board were originally elected to Saints Voice by a supporter vote (the previous supporter body) and so now continue that work with the FAB. Each will sit on the board for up to three years. We currently have 16 active and committed members who represent a broad cross section of our fanbase covering age, gender, Season and non-Season Ticket Holders and both Men’s and Women’s team fans - members sit in all different areas of the ground so you’ll likely have seen them about.

Before the FAB was formed, Saints Voice was involved in many successful initiatives around fan loyalty and experience which included giving feedback on pricing structures for Season Tickets, how the Fans Fund was spent, catering, communication and atmosphere. It also pushed the sustainability agenda and maintained a strong focus on fan driven issues such as away fans in home areas. Working with the club, Saints Voice was a great asset in enhancing the fan experience and we’re excited to build on that work together now through the Fan Advisory Board.

The first FAB Meeting was held in May 2023 and attended by club Chair, Henrik Kraft, a keen supporter of the group and what its formed to achieve. If you want to see what was discussed, the minutes are available to read on our website, southamptonfc.com. The FAB will be meeting four times a year alongside a series of subgroups who’ll meet more frequently to progress discussions on communications, sustainability, stadium topics and special projects, for example the new streaming products. The FAB has already played an important role in the launch of our Season Ticket campaign, with more Season Tickets sold so far for the 2023/24 campaign than was sold at this point ahead of the 2022/23 season.

The next meeting will be at the end of August. For further information on the Fan Advisory Board, and if you have a topic or issue you’d like raised with us, please email [email protected].
