Holgate's loan deal at Saints terminated early

The 27-year-old joined in the summer from Everton, in a move that was due to last for the duration of this season, but an agreement has been reached between all parties to conclude it early, allowing the defender to now join Sheffield United.

The departure of Holgate, who made seven appearances in his time at St Mary’s, reduces the number of loan players in the Men’s First Team squad to five, in line with the limit allowed in each matchday squad.
