Bazunu nominated for Save of the Season
Gavin Bazunu's stop to deny Liverpool's Mohammed Salah at Anfield in December has been nominated for the Premier League Save of the Season.
Bazunu leaped across goal to deny Salah from close-range, following Darwin Núñez’s low cross from the left flank.
The same save was awarded the Premier League's Save of the Month for both November and December, where saves either side of the World Cup were taken into consideration.
Saints' keeper is up against Nick Pope (Newcastle), Jordan Pickford (Everton), Kepa Arrizabalaga (Chelsea), David De Gea (Manchester United) and Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal) for the end of season award.
