It's the first time since the 2016/17 season that Saints have reached the fifth round of the competition, thanks to a brace from both Jimmy-Jay Morgan and Tyler Dibling in their 4-1 win over Aston Villa in the previous round.

Prior to that, a thrilling 3-2 win secured their passage through the third round against Coventry City with a hat-trick from Dom Ballard, which included an extra time winner in the 120th minute.

League rivals Fulham have reached the fifth round for their first time in three years, when they last reached this stage in the 2019/20 campaign.

They knocked out Rochdale in the third round with two late goals in a dramatic 4-3 victory, before beating Sunderland 2-0 in the fourth round to set up the trip to St Mary's stadium.

Fans are encouraged to support Saints' youngsters under the lights at St Mary's stadium, with tickets available to purchase online.

Speaking ahead of Tuesday's game, midfielder Cam Bragg expressed his excitement at the occasion on the horizon for the squad:

"It's nice when we get people to come down and show an interest in the academy, and I think it's nice for [fans] to come and see hopefully what some of their first team will look like in the coming years.

"That's what we'll try and showcase is how good and talented we can be and just how good we are as a team and what we've got to offer."
