Downes: It feels like two dropped points
Southampton's Flynn Downes cut a frustrated figure following his side's 1-1 draw at Norwich City in the Sky Bet Championship.
The midfielder returned to the side having missed the squad which beat Plymouth Argyle on Friday night, but struggled for the most part, along with his teammates, to break down a stubborn Norwich defence.
Adam Armstrong provided the breakthrough on 72 minutes with his 13th of the season, but it wasn't enough for all three points as Josh Sargent levelled eight minutes later.
"It feels like we've dropped two points, big time," said the 24-year-old. "I thought we played really well. The boys were so good for 90 minutes, had so many chances.
"I thought we dominated the game, but, yeah, it is what it is. It's football, it's a cruel game and we'll learn from it.
"I think the boys have been unbelievable the last four games, they've been so good. We would have bitten your hand off for ten points going into it, but I think when you're here now and you've just played, it's disappointing. You feel like you have dropped points. But it is what it is, we're still chasing the top two.
"Now we've got to put this behind us. We've got Walsall at the weekend and then into Sheffield Wednesday, so we'll be looking to keep this unbeaten run going and keep applying the pressure."
