Have you ever fancied yourself as a football commentator? Alan March Sport (AMS) is looking for people to join the speciality in-stadium access commentary service, offered for all our Men's and Women's home games.

If you've always wanted to learn about and experience being a football commentator, then we have a great opportunity for you with our training day at St Mary's on Sunday 20th August.

AMS have commentary teams around the country, including Premier League clubs such as Nottingham Forest, Wolves, Fulham and Newcastle. They’ve covered matches at the FIFA World Cup 2022, the UEFA European Championship, UEFA Champions League, Nations League, Europa League and Women's Champions League Finals, as well as the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. They’re looking for applicants who fit the following requirements:

  • Able to commit to approximately 75% of our Men's and Women's home fixtures, including pre-season and cup games.

  • Be able to occasionally carry a small amount of equipment (less than 10kg).

  • Live within approximately 90 minutes’ travel of the stadium.

  • Be available for the all-day training session (9.30am-5.30pm) on Sunday 20th August.

If you’re interested in learning from AMS, getting trained and delivering commentary on Saints matches for the in-venue access service, email [email protected] with the following information:

  • Full name

  • Age

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • 60-100 words on why you think you’d be a great commentator covering Saints matches.

The closing date for applications is 11.59pm on Sunday 13th August.

Please note, this is a voluntary position and you won't become an employee of the club or Alan March Sport Ltd. All volunteers must be over the age of 16 on the date of the training day.
