Changes to Women's post-match autograph and photo opportunities
Starting from this weekend's Women's team fixture against Sheffield United, we will be making some slight adjustments to how we run our post-match autograph and photo opportunities.
Supporters will still get the chance to meet their favourite players however, in the interests of player and fan safety, these will no longer be taking place pitchside straight after the game.
Instead, after the final whistle, fans will have the opportunity to head to the Northam Fan Zone to meet a selection of players after each game and get autographs and photos in a more controlled and safe space.
Our players love the chance to interact safely with the fans who give them brilliant support game after game, and we'll continue to offer everyone the opportunity to meet their favourite players.
The Northam Fan Zone is open up to one hour after the game with plenty of post-match entertainment for fans to enjoy, from player Q&A's to live music.
Now, you will also be able to meet a selection of players in the same place, with a select group of different players after each home matchday ensuring a chance to meet all of the Southampton FC Women’s squad throughout the season.
Southampton Football Club’s Fan Advisory Board have reviewed these developments and have given their support.
