Ballard earns PL2 Player of the Month nomination
After an electric individual start to the season, young striker Dom Ballard has been shortlisted for Premier League 2’s August Player of the Month award.
The 18-year-old striker picked up where he left off from last campaign and was in free-scoring form in front of goal.
Ballard scored six times in just three league appearances before he departed on loan to League One Reading, with his PL2 strikes coming in the form of back-to-back hat-tricks against Newcastle and Aston Villa.
Completing the August shortlist are Yago Alonso, Jamie Donley (both Tottenham Hotspur), Martial Godo (Fulham), Mark O'Mahoney (Brighton & Hove Albion), Sam Paul, Jayden Wareham (Reading), Ronnie Stutter (Chelsea).
